Dr. Michael A. Civin helped to found Rose Hill Psychological Services in 2008. This is a company which provides high quality psychological services to people in the New York City area, specifically in the Bronx. Dr. Civin is proud to be apart of the award-winning, community based mental health center. Their efforts are focused on providing the highest possible quality of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis at rates that are affordable for their local patients.
Michael A. Civin attended Harvard College, obtaining his A.B. in 1968 and graduating cum laude. He spent a year at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, but soon decided this was not for him. Next he moved on to the University of Oregon, graduating from that institution with his Masters of Arts degree. Civin would later attend Adelphi University’s Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies, graduating with a Masters of Arts in 1968. Michael A. Civin became a doctor when he obtained his Ph.D. from Adelphi University in 1988. He later pursued a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy as well. Dr. Michael A. Civin is also the author of Male Female Email: The struggle for relatedness in a paranoid society, a book concerning Internet psychology and how people related in a world that is increasingly dominated by digital interactions.
