Psychology is known as the scientific study of the mind and behaviors, according to the American Psychological Associated. It can be a complicated discipline to master as it’s quite multifaceted with many subfields; individuals could focus on everything from sports or health psychology to social behavior, human development and cognitive processes. Dr. Michael Civin found himself with an inclination toward this specific field of medicine and angled his education toward the pursuit. Although by 1970 he had graduated with his A.B. degree from Harvard College and a Master of Arts from the University of Oregon, Dr. Michael Civin did not study medicine at that time. He returned to school in the 1980s, earning another Master of Arts by 1986 from Adelphi University. He stayed at Adelphi, within its Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies, to gain his Ph.D., which occurred in 1988. And from there, he remained within the field. Civin not only worked with clients, but within education, passing along his earned knowledge to others as a professor and writer of numerous scholarly articles. Comments are closed.
